The ‘Anti-Tired’ Doc’s iPhone App – A Natural Cures Database

Dr. “T”, as in Teitelbaum, Knows How to Defeat CFS/Fibromyalgia,and all Kinds of  “Tired”

Dr. Teitelbaum has a remarkable knowledge of how to deal with Chronic Fatigue and other forms of tiredness, aka lack of Good Energy, in mostly natural ways.  If you see him in person you have to admit he’s a real ‘mensch’, which means something like ‘a really good man’ in Yiddish, I think.

He has recently come up with a neat little iPhone app that taps into some his knowledge in a real simple way.  (Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to work on iPod Touches.  My son tells me that’s quite common.  Doesn’t seem right to me (as the father of a son who has an ipod Touch) because we don’t get ATT, so can’t use iPod phone, in our area.  Another case of technology unable to keep up with itself!) A Great Source of Good Energy: Sugar?!

No, not  that  sugar. This one, “the key to energy production”.

It is a nice clean white powder, but I’m not talking about that candy-lover’s dream, arch-villain  among contributors to diabetes, insulin spikes, cavities, obesity and a hundred other bodily imbalances and diseases – pure refined white sugar.

I’m talking about ribose, not glucose. Continue reading

Exercise: The Cirque du Soleil Way

Exercise is high on the list of Good-Energy-generation and Dr.-bills-prevention strategies.

There is of course a virtually unlimited number of ways to exercise.  The key, trainers tell us, is to find something you love, or at least enjoy doing, so that you’ll stick with it.  Walking is wonderful.  Strength training is terrific.  And variety is good, too. It not only keeps things interesting for you, it also prevents your body from ‘habituating’ to the same form of exercise, your body needs to be challenged to get maximum benefit from exercise.

So here’s one I bet you didn’t think of: an exercise routine from the amazing acrobatic troupe, Cirque de Soleil.  ABC News did a cool story on this new option for exercise. The link  will take you to Yahoo news where you can watch it in full:  High-Flying Workout

There’s more on the Cirque du Soleil workout.  It seems they’re really serious about this.  They’ve partnered with shoe giant Reebok in creating a gym routine for women.  Read about it in the Boston Globe: Cirque du Soleil and Reebok workout.

A Secret Source of Super-Human ‘Good Energy’

The Best Help for Surviving and Thriving In Difficult Times

Chenrezig, the Tibetan Buddhist Bodhisattva (saint-like being) of compassion, holds over his heart a Wish Fulfilling Gem.

In the medieval alchemical tradition, the Philosopher’s Stone was said to be the source of immense powers long before Harry Potter came along.

Back in Tibet, there are many reports of Buddhist adepts and yogis who could literally fly through the sky. And in the Middle East,  Jesus said people could move mountains if they had faith.

Whether or not you believe in the literal truth of all these tales of miraculous powers, and many more like them, could it be they are pointing to something that is true of even the most humble of human beings?  Continue reading
